What is an Apostille

Between Hague Convention member states, an Apostille certificate is enough for a public document to be used abroad; consular legalization is not required.

Order of steps

Obtain the official replacement from the school → notarization if required → Apostille from the Secretary of State / foreign ministry → use in the destination country.

Important

A memorial replica is not a public document; it cannot be apostilled or legalized. Be cautious of anyone offering to do so.
