A diploma is a sheet of heavy paper, which makes it both easy to crease and awkward to replace. The right packaging matters more than the speed of the courier.
Rigid, not padded
Use a rigid mailer or a document box with corner protection. Padded envelopes protect against knocks but not against bending, which is the usual cause of damage.
Moisture and heat
Wrap the document in acid-free tissue inside a sealed sleeve, then pack the sleeve so it cannot slide. Avoid routes with long exposure to heat and humidity where possible.
Insurance and tracking
Declare the replacement value honestly, keep the tracking number with your records, and ask for signature delivery. A tracking reference is also useful evidence if a verification request follows.
Our desk ships every specimen in a rigid mailer by insured courier, and shares the tracking number as soon as the parcel leaves.
